Looking for a great place to play tennis and meet new people? Join the Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club! Our club has a rich history dating back to 1885 and is one of the university’s oldest and most respected institutions. Our 8 picturesque courts are located on the university grounds between Manning House and Physics Road, providing the perfect setting for a game of tennis in the great outdoors.
At the Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club, we offer a range of activities to suit players of all levels. We organize social tennis three days a week, giving members the chance to meet new people, improve their game and have fun in a relaxed setting. We also provide match play for all levels, so you can test your skills against other players and improve your game.
For Sydney Uni students, we offer the chance to represent the university in national competitions. You can take part in the annual Australian University Games and the Eastern Australian University Games, competing against other universities and showcasing your skills on a national stage.
We close our courts from December to February for lawn recovery, but we’re open for play the rest of the year. So why not join our vibrant community of tennis enthusiasts today? Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, we welcome players of all levels and look forward to seeing you on the court!
